Condoleezza Rice desperately needs a reality check.
Standing in Ramallah yesterday with Abu Mazen at her side, the US Secretary of State was practically gushing with praise for the Palestinian leader.
Making little more than passing reference to the need for Palestinians to combat terror, she could hardly contain herself in lavishing approval on him in front of the cameras.
“I’m honored to be here with President Abbas”, she said. “We applaud President Abbas’ commitment... The United States will stand with President Abbas”.
“This is a man of peace,” Rice concluded. “His government is a government that is seeking peace. And it is the goal and the policy of the United States government to support a Palestinian leadership that is, we believe, determined to come to a peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,” she said.

Needless to say, Rice’s adulation for Abu Mazen has no factual basis in reality. It is little more than a continuation of Bill Clinton’s policy of ignoring Palestinian violations while pressing Israel to make concessions.
Indeed, just hours after Rice’s remarks, Palestinian terrorists attacked Israeli troops along the border with Egypt, killing one and injuring two others. And over the weekend, Israeli troops arrested a Palestinian planning to carry out a suicide bombing attack and also uncovered a bomb factory in Palestinian-controlled Jenin.
Rice’s reaction to this string of incidents? You guessed it – silence. Why should she let the facts get in the way of her little plan to boost Abu Mazen as a “man of peace”?
Israel has been down this road before – and all it led to was increased violence and terrorism. If Condi Rice really thinks that cheerleading for Abu Mazen is a viable policy option, then the former professor needs to go back and review some of the lessons of the past 12 years since Oslo, and stop giving a boost to those who kill Jews.
Israel must come to terms with the fact that she stands alone, and stands for herself best when she stops worrying about what others may think or say and start worrying and carrying about G-d's opinion.

Disgusting!!! 'Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.'

Amen to that. Israel has always stood alone, except for G-d and Christians (sadly a minority). Every so often Israel forgets that, but He doesn't. Through Ezekiel, He said, ‘You say, "We want to be like the nations, like the peoples of the world, who serve wood and stone." But what you have in mind will never happen.'

Condi is now fulfilling her initial mentor's plans. Her first mentor is the infamous Jew hater James Baker.(f---k the Jews they don't vote for us anyway Baker) She never separated her philosophy from Baker, just kept it under wraps during Bush's first term. Bush is basically fullfilling Baker & his papa's Arabist visions.
For public consumption they pretend to be an ally of Israel. This is to deceive both the Congress and the American people, namely the Chtistian zionists. I am sure that if Bush were up for reelection right now he would lose because of his about face on Israel. That is exactly why he waited for the second term to reveal his plans for Israel.
As a Republican he totally fooled me, and I am not easy to fool. Hopefully the Jewish zionists will thwart their evil plans.

Condi has to work fast to chop-up Israel
via the roadmap so Bush Jr. can fulfill
his debts to Papa's Saudi clients before
he leaves office.
Referring to Adina's
comment: "As a Republican he totally fooled me, and I am not easy to fool. Hopefully the Jewish zionists will thwart their evil plans."
1)Where were you when Bush rushed
his two-state vision at the UN right after 9-11?
2) Didn't you know Saudi Prince Bandar Bin Sultan has such special access to the Bush family (Bush Jr. included) that he is called "Bandar Bush"?
3)Why did you ignore the fact that James Baker III not only represented Bush Jr.
during the Florida vote fiasco but
Bush Jr. uses him as envoy to the Gulf
states for Iraqi-debt relief.
What can you now, that when the next
Bush for President comes around, for example, Jeb Bush, you won't be fooled?

Great blast, Mr. Freund (and blasters).
Sadly, noone in US media other than conservative blogs (Little Green Footballs), and the Washington Times seems to notice.
As bad as Sec. Rice's comments are, GW having the Oslo & Road Map violating, terrorist coddling, media/education inciting, Mazen to the White House was worse.
We (US) claim to not want to "meddle", but we encourage the terrorists (all terrorists) by embracing Mazen.
I disagree, however, that Ms. Rice is becoming a Jew hater like Mr. Baker. Instead, she's just playing the diplomatic game started by the feckless Colin Powell in the first administration.
A disappointment so far, but when I hear the PA complaining that Condi didn't offer anything "new", I'm somewhat relieved.

This is in answer to Robert -
Whether you want to see it or not, Kerry in the long run would have done the "chop chopping" of Israel at an even faster pace. This is because he was chomping at the bit to allow the EU and the UN direct ALL foreign policy initiatives, particularly in the war against the Islamists.
At least with Bush the Republican majority and their Christian zionist supporters hold some sway, and can rein him back somewhat.
At the end of the day they are all politicians. The Republicans understand they have alot to lose in both 2006 and in 2008.
Was I entirely confortable with Bush in the first term? Of course not. I know full well his ties to the Saudis. But make no mistake. The Democratic powerbrokers are lockstep in the Saudi muck.
Israel's goose is cooked unless they reassert their independence and go for broke.

DESPITE MORE THAN 1,700 MURDERED VICTIMS AND
OVER 6,000 WOUNDED SINCE THE OSLO ACCORDS,
ISRAEL CONTINUES TO 'NEGOTIATE THE SO-CALLED
'PEACE PROCESS BY GIVING UP JEWISH LAND,JEWISH FUNDS
AND JEWISH WEAPONS TO HER IMPLACCABLE ARAB ENEMIES
WHO THREATEN A 'THIRD INTIFADA' IF THEIR

were my reactions to Condy's comments. She really can't believe her own statements, can she?
It is clear from her comments that we are no longer a friend of Israel. My government is your deadly enemy. Sharon seems to think that he himself will benefit by allowing these gangrapers to attack you. If they are successful, and Israel is destroyed, Sharon's usefulness will be over, and he will descend into the depths just like his countrymen would.
Let me say again:
America is NOT your friend.
America is NOT your friend!

The world sees Israel as a pawn at best, to be sacrificed on the chessboard of international politics. So has it ever been for the Jews.
"...If your generation will be slow
And will not grasp in its hands and forcibly mold its future.... you will be slaves to every foreign ruler..." From One Truth and Not Two by Uri Zvi Greenberg. (Interpreted from the Hebrew by Laurence Cramer)
We are seeing Greenberg as prophet, even as his lines come to horrifying life before our eyes. Aided and abetted by those who are holding the banner against terrorism - except where the targets are Jews.

If the USA is going to pressure Israel to receed from land morally gained in it's own self defense. Then the USA might first want to consider giving it's own land back to the Indians. What a quandary.
